A long history of fruit
Materne has been a leading fruit specialist for more than 100 years. In 1881, the applesauce and purée factory in Boué (North of France) was created. 40 years later, Edmond Materne bought the applesauce factory and expanded the business, bringing the creation of Pom’Potes® in France 1998, the first ever fruit in a pouch. It was a great success!
Based on this experience, fruit in a pouch was introduced in the United States under the name GoGo squeeZ® in 2008 and in Canada a year later. The group secured the leading position in America by creating a new segment in the healthy snacking market and in November 2008 one million pouches were sold in the US!
Over the years, the brand made significant strides, including the launch of GoGo squeeZ® in Portugal and the UK in 2017 but also the launch of Pom’Potes® yogurtZ in China in 2017.

The products are available in a variety of flavours to support different tastes and lifestyles for teens and adults. They include fruit blends such as apple, mango and strawberry, making them a delicious option for those with active lifestyles. There is a blend for every taste packaged in a convenient and resealable pouch.
The product line also caters to customers with specific dietary needs – delicious dairy-free, nut-free, gluten-free and kosher options are available in the GoGo squeeZ® range.

Forward-Thinking Foundation
Since 2021, GoGo squeeZ® in the US has gone all-in on regenerative agriculture. First in Hart, Michigan, supporting the launch of AgBioResearch facilities to strengthen education and environmental practices for fruit growers. Followed by our work with West Michigan Research Station and Michigan State to support irrigation research.
Community Comes First
Hitting the road to help our mission grow: GoGo squeeZ® in the US partners with non-profits like Feeding America to deliver over 150 tonnes of pouches per year to kids and families across the country.
Less Waste Per Pouch
At GoGo squeeZ®, we are constantly challenging ourselves to do better, down to the carton materials we source from sustainable forests. Our helicaps are iconic but they’re still plastic. That’s why in 2021 we started our journey to transition our caps to be made with 40% less plastic*. And we’re just getting started.

The Movement Against Food Waste
Through our partnership in the UK and Portugal between GoGo squeeZ® and Too Good To Go®, we plan to fight food waste at every step in our fruit purée production process. GoGo squeeZ® is raising awareness about the meaning of a “Best Before Date”. When the shelf life is expired, please don’t throw away the product, use common sense. Store the product according to storage information indicated on the pack to preserve its qualities.
